On a recent adventure through Sonoma County, we stumbled upon a hidden jewel just outside of
Windsor that deserves a spotlight. Tucked away amid rolling hills and lush vineyards, we
discovered a charming family-owned winery where history, hospitality, and exceptional wine
come together in the most delightful way.
The moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Mark Hanson, the owner, who graciously
took the time to share the story behind the vineyard. His passion was infectious as he spoke
about the land, the legacy, and the care that goes into every bottle produced here. It was clear this
wasn’t just a business—it was a labor of love.
The grounds were absolutely stunning—manicured gardens, open greenspace, koi ponds, and
even a cozy chicken coop that our grandchildren couldn’t get enough of. There were games to
keep them entertained while we relaxed and soaked in the serene beauty of the setting.
The tasting experience was equally memorable. The winery specializes in Pinot Noir and
Chardonnay, and we had the pleasure of sampling a fantastic selection of both. A standout was a
unique and surprisingly delicious blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes—a wine that
